..Bytown Treasurer Linda Wilson will be one of the Ontario masters athletes honoured at the Ontario Master Athletics (OMA) Track and Field Championships at Toronto's York University on Sunday March 29th. Linda was recently chosen as OMA's Female Race Walker of 2008.

..The recognition is well-deserved. Competing in the W50 age group, Linda had a series of personal bests through the year. These include her first sub-60:00 10km road race at the Art Keay races in late May. She also finished the year in style with a W50 Canadian Record for a 10km race on the track, done at the USA One Hour Championship in mid-October in the Boston suburb of Waltham.

..Linda also achieved success competing against walkers of any age. She finished third overall in the Waltham race, and ended the year nationally ranked in the 5km (14th) and 10km (10th)."
